Renässans näsdroppar

This years’ Reboot was inspiring, although not as mindblowing as last years’ event. Have the feeling that some of the keynotes, and the ideas triggered by them, will come sneaking up on me from behind during the next couple of days.

Jeremy Keith’s In Praise of the Hyperlink was great. To be honest, I was expecting something more technical from that keynote, but what he pulled off proved to be much better. It makes a beautiful read too. Amongst other good sessions was Making Senses by Matt Webb, Doc searls’ presentation and Ben Hammersleys brilliantly witty “how to become a renaissance man”.

The rails-session thursday night convinced me (once again) to start using rails for a real project of my own soon, and not following any more todo-list tutorials. Ever. It’s so easy to get stuck overthinking things instead of just doing.

Lykke’s been feverish and snotty (hence the nosedrops photo) all weekend, so I’ve been letting the impressions sink in for a while more. There’s plenty of fine summaries around… so I’m pretty sure the web will be just fine without my addition. Furthermore, most of the sessions were caught on video, and are rumoured to be available on reboot.dk soon-ish.

Thanks, and hope to see you again next year

Agree with you Björn, but would definately add Jesse James Garretts keynotes to that list as well.

See, there’s two reasons to ban built-in camera flash right there! Matt Webb was trying to explain the rules of Set, hence the weird facial expressions. That, and beer. Great card game though.
