Finding a backup solution for mac OS X

I’m trying to find a good personal backup solution for my PowerBook. One to go with a firewire/usb2 external hard drive. There are several programs available out there; here’s a few I’m considering:

Silverkeeper from LaCie (free) iMsafe (free for now, public beta) SyncupX ($20) ChronoSync ($30) Retrospect ($100?)

UPDATE: Looks like it’s just something wrong with my internet connection. ah well.

Ruby On rails hits 1.0

Ruby on Rails 1.0 is released — and it comes script.aculo.us 1.5 (and prototype 1.4 final)! Since I’m not yet up to speed with Ruby On Rails, I only get to play with the javascript libraries.
