Solving outgoing mail issues on dreamhost

The well-hidden, although somewhat documented, secret to getting the outgoing SMTP server up and running at Dreamhost is finally revealed to me. Not that i’ve been searching for very long, but anyways… use server port 587

this gives you:

Outgoing mail server: mail.domain.com User name: your mailbox-number Password: your password Authentication: Password Server port: 587

That did the trick for me anyways…
